Mahindra have silently removed the Marazzo MPV from their official website. Over the past few months, there were several rumours that the Marazzo would receive a facelift. But with an average sales figure of 39 units over the past 6 months, it’s no surprise that Mahindra have discontinued the MPV.
Mahindra Marazzo’s Journey In India
- The Mahindra Marazzo was launched in September 2018
- It was available in 4 variants – M2, M4, M6, and M8 – with prices ranging from Rs. 9.99 lakh to Rs. 13.90 lakh
- The Marazzo bridged the gap between 2 best-selling MPVs – the Innova Crysta and Ertiga
- It scored a 4-star rating from Global NCAP in November 2018
- The last recorded price of the Marazzo was Rs. 14.12 lakh to Rs. 16.48 lakh
- The Marazzo was based on a ladder frame chassis and featured a transversely mounted engine with front-wheel-drive, which was unique among MPVs
- It was powered by Mahindra’s 1.5-litre diesel engine and produced 123PS of power and 300Nm of torque.
- The Marazzo’s sole transmission option was a 6-speed manual whereas rivals offered torque converters or AMTs
- The Marazzo featured a shark-inspired design and offered goodies like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- It also offered features like dual front airbags, automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, rear parking camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchors
